Crash Course Records - 001
We recently caught up with Calllide and Savage Rehab around their forthcoming release on new label Crash Course Records. Hear what both had to say and check out the clips below!
(Callide) what are your thoughts on Savage Rehabs remix of your track - system overload?
Callide:
I was blown away the first time I heard it, they’ve really pushed the tune to another level. Just like the original, the track keeps developing the whole way through and the switch ups are deadly! I especially like the breakdown switch half way through, where the tune reboots for part 2. Clever production skills from Savage Rehab and I can’t wait to show case more of their tech sounds on Crash Course!
(Savage Rehab) is this your first remix of a callide tune? Can we expect more in the future?
Savage Rehab:
Unfortunately yes, Callide rather rudely hadn’t been kind enough to think of us for a remix until now, becuase of this it took some time to decide if we wanted to take the project on, but after many bunches of flowers, custom-made Love Hearts sweets & expensive chocolates our hate wained & we decided to go for it.. next time he’ll need to think about faberge eggs & spare rib flavoured Nik Naks to oil the production wheels.. but our filth can be bought at the right price.
(Either) Are you happy with the support that the tracks have been receiving?
Callide:
The tracks have already seen huge support on the circuit with heads like Storm, Mind Vortex, Inside Info and Black Sun Empire, which really does show how the track can cross over in to each section of the drum and bass scene.
Savage Rehab:
Supports been great, was superb to see the Queen brock out with blatent disregard for her own hips when they chose System Overload as the last tune at the Jubilee After Party
(Both) How can our readers find out about your future release and upcoming gigs?
Callide:
I’ll be keeping things up to date with Crash Course and you’ll hear about the next releases real soon. We’ll also be doing our first back to back set at Cable in July which is going to be epic!
Savage Rehab:
We’re looking forward to that monsterous inter-planetary soundclash! July 20th! There’s all sorts of musical information available at our facebook fan page.
